Fetish Lessons

Your fetish might not be as odd as you think. Most people believe their fetishes are rather “out there” and don’t jive with what most “normal” people like, but you could be surprised. Sure, your neighbor might not talk about their dirty fetishes, and your sex education surely never mentioned anything about the more taboo things you might come to like as an adult, but trust me – everyone has a fetish. Absolutely everyone. The trick is whether or not they are willing to talk about it!

Some of the more common fetishes are easily recognizable. Loving the way a woman’s foot looks in high heels is a fetish that many men have, and many of them are very open about it. Seeing women in lingerie is another fetish, and I can’t think of a single man who would hide that one! A woman’s fetish for seeing two men together, or observing gay men in their bedroom, is something that used to be kept hush-hush but is now becoming more acceptable. Yes, women have fetishes too, and sometimes they are downright naughty ones!

Crossdressing is a fetish that is accepted in some circles, but in polite company it is still seen as something that makes little sense. However, crossdressers will point out that women wear men’s clothes all the time, and why not? It’s all about being comfortable while getting your sexual kicks, and nobody could ever say there is anything wrong with that.

Other fetishes get a bit more extreme, but are still very pleasurable for those who enjoy them. Spanking, bondage, breath play, blood play, and other more extreme fetishes are still within the realm of what might not be your cup of tea, but might not be shocking, either. Fetishes for certain objects during sex, such as high heels, dildos, butt plugs, certain sensations, and even certain positions are quite common, though perhaps not recognized as fetishes because they really are so commonplace.

The uber-extreme fetishes, such as scat or waterplay, are often looked down upon by those who don’t enjoy them. However, just because they aren’t mainstream doesn’t mean they are wrong!

So what’s your fetish? How do you handle telling your lovers about it? Tell us all about it in the comments!
